The Nigerian Police Force has commenced recruitment of Police Constables into the Force. A statement by the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni said the Command is inviting qualified Rivers Indigenes to avail themselves of the opportunity and get enlisted. Mr. Omoni said the Applicants must be Indigenes of Rivers State, possess a minimum of 5 Credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE, NECO, with Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, must be within the ages of 17 to 25years , medically, physically and psychologically fit. He also noted that applicants must not be less than 1.67m tall, for males, 1.64m, for females and be Nigerian citizens by birth. The police spokesman said the online Applications will be open for a period of six weeks, from 14th July, 2020 to 23rd August, 2020 and all applications must be submitted online. Mr. Omoni stated that only those who meet the Requirements in the Online Registration will be invited for physical Screening at the Command Headquarters, Moscow Road Port Harcourt from 24th August to 30th August 2020. The police spokesman added that there will be due compliance with the COVID 19 Protocols and Recruitment Exercise is free of charge. Consequently, the Command is inviting suitably qualified Rivers Indigenes to avail themselves of this opportunity by getting enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force. 2. The General Requirements for Enlistment are as follows:- a. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must possess the National Identification Number (NIN) and must have passion for the Police with the determination to make a career in the Force b. Applicants must be Indigenes of Rivers State. c. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 Credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE, NECO, with Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics. d. Applicants must be within the ages of 17-25years e. Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit, and must not be less than 1.67m tall, for males and 1.64m, for females. f. Applicants must not have less than 86cm (34 Inches) expanded chest measurement for Men only. g. Female Applicants must not be pregnant at the time of Recruitment. h. Applicants must be free from any pecuniary embarrassment. i. Applicants must be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence j. Applicants must print their completed Online Forms, Guarantors’ Forms and SUBMIT same at the Examination/Screening and Recruitment Centres. k. The Applicants that meet the Requirements from the Online Registration will be invited for the physical Screening at the Command Headquarters, Moscow Road Port Harcourt from 24th August – 30th August 2020. l. The Names of the Successful candidates will be published in selected National Newspapers on 14th September 2020 and other platforms. 3. A Candidate who is suffering from any of the underlisted Abnormalities or Deformities shall not be accepted for Enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force Impediment in speech Gross malformation of teeth or jaw preventing proper mastication of food.
