Some natives has described as  outright falsehood  the  information circulated on Facebook page of Winnie Miller on Sunday,March 8,2026  that the Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State,Hon Cheta  Epelle Eugene instructed a town crier to go around the village announcing that nobody should grant interview to the press, last  Saturday.

Some residents of the LGA, including Osiga King, the Security Coordinator Of Ukpeleide Community in Ahoada West LGA described the report as one of the  many lies fabricated to dent the image of Hon Eugene.

Mr King disclosed that, contrary to the falsehood peddled by the content creator, residents of the community including a youth leader came out to grant interview to the press yesterday as seen in an online video and pictures.

Mr King also urged the general public to disregard information that the Chairman is a 'woman beater'.

He maintained that the Ahoada West Council Boss is very responsible, humble and accessible and also carrying out people's oriented projects.

On the allegation made by Winnie  that her cousin was attacked  yesterday morning simply because they are supporting her and also threats made against  people in the village who dare to openly support,Mr King and some natives who spoke to our reporter said there is no iota of truth in the story being shared online.

The Security coordinator of Ukpeleide expressed regret that some persons have made themselves willing tools in the hands of failed politicians to discredit the good works of the Ahoada West Council Boss while urging the Council Boss to continue to be focus on service delivery .
