Andoni Sole Administrator Urges Forgiveness, Reconciliation In Ikuru Community Dispute

  As part of efforts to promote peace, unity and peaceful co-existence, the Andoni Sole Administrator, Atajit Francis has held a reconciliatory meeting with community members and stakeholders in Ikuru town. The meeting which is aimed at resolving the lingering disputes, enhance sustainable peace and facilitate the return of the community's paramount ruler was attended by traditional rulers, youths, women , security personnel as well  as other leaders of the community. Andoni LGA Sole Administrator Vows to Prioritize Workers' Welfare, Dissolves Previous Appointments

The Andoni Sole Administrator, Mr. Francis stated this during a meeting with staff at the council headquarters in Ngo Town. Mr. Francis, while urging staff to show commitment to duty, also assured that transparency and accountability will be the hallmark of his administration. He further proposed a monthly environmental sanitation exercise in all communities in the LGA. Tragedy As Policeman kills self in Port Harcourt

By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  A Police Inspector,Maxwell Zabu attached to the former Chairman of   of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers state, Mr. Victor Ihunwo has shot himself dead at the early hours of today, Tuesday,April 22nd at the Eagle Island residence of the Ex- PHALGA Chairman. While the details of the incident is still sketchy as at press time, #awajisgeorgenews gathered that the  incident was reported at the Police post Eagle island which is under Azikiwe Police Division, at Illabouchi,Mile 2, Diobu, Port Harcourt. We further learnt that detectives from the Azikiwe Police Division had visited the scene as part of preliminary investigation procedures. Suspected Cultists Kill Ex-Youth Leader In Rivers Community

President Tinubu Sacks Mele Kyari Appoint New Board Chairman

By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a sweeping reconstitution of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited board, removing the chairman, Chief Pius Akinyelure and the group chief executive officer, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari. President Tinubu removed all other board members appointed with Akinyelure and Kyari in November 2023. The new 11-man board has Engineer Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the Group CEO and Ahmadu Musa Kida as non-executive chairman. Adedapo Segun, who replaced Umaru Isa Ajiya as the chief financial officer last November, has been appointed to the new board by President Tinubu.
