Aleto-Eleme Community CSO In Police Custody for Murder, Remains Of Deceased Victim Recovered

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested two suspects, for the gruesome murder of Sampson Worianime, a native of Okirika local government area.

The suspects, one Igwe Alex, male 26 year old, the CSO of Aleto-Eleme Community and John Mikel 24 years old, all of Aleto Eleme.

A statement by the spokesperson, Rivers State Police Command, CSP Grace Iringe-Koko said the victim  Sampson Worianime was reported missing on November 11, 2025, after accompanying a Youth from Ogbogbo Community in Okrika  to measure land at their old settlement.

Following a distressing petition by the victim's mother, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) launched an investigation which led to the arrest of the two suspects.

During a preliminary interrogation, the suspects confessed to abducting two youths from Okrika; including the victim. While one of the abducted victims escaped, Worianime was killed by the suspects and his body dumped into a nearby river.

The suspects led Police Operatives to the location where the corpse was buried, and the remains of the deceased victim were recovered from a shallow grave. The suspects are currently in Police custody, cooperating with team of investigators with efforts underway to apprehend other accomplices.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju has directed a thorough investigation to ensure that all perpetrators of the heinous crime are made to face the full wrath of the law.


The Command assures the public of its commitment to justice and urges citizens to provide any information that may aid the ongoing investigation.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
