We will Not Enslave Anyone - King Nnabiget XV

The newly crowned monarch of Ngo Town, His Majesty King Dr. Mathew Jonah Ogwuokwa Ibotile Nnabiget XV (JP), Okaan-Ama Ngo of Ngo Land in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State has assured inhabitants of Ngo Land that he will not enslave anyone throughout his reign.

King Nnabiget gave this assurance while giving his acceptance speech as King of Ngo Land after his coronation ceremony at Agba Ngo Square, Ngo Town.

According to him "As King of Ngo Land, my desire is to ensure that I carry everyone along especially our opponents, nobody will be a slave, I will lead with mutual respect for all and sundry."




He remarked that he is only interested in uplifting the growth of the community and making every effort to advance the course of development, insisting that he will take advice from people who are genuinely interested in the development of the community and reiterate his commitment to promoting good governance by implementing lawful directives, policies and programmes of government at all levels for the good of Ngo Land. 

The Ngo monarch equally expressed his desire to incorporate all stakeholders of Ngo Land and beyond for the good of all regardless of class, political persuasion, or religious creed.

Speaking further, the crowned King of Ngo Town Headquarters of Andoni LGA promised to partner with the Rivers State Government to ensure peace in his domain and implement policies and programmes of government aimed at bettering the welfare of the people of Ngo and Andoni. 

King Dr. M. J. O. Ibotile Nnabiget XV succeeded Late His Majesty King Job William Okuruket Nnabiget XIV, who passed on 26th January 2023 at the age of 71 and was led to rest on Saturday March 1st, 2025.

The late King reigned for 46 years and was duly recognised by the Rivers State Government as a 1st class monarch and member of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chairman of Andoni Area Council of Traditional Rulers. 


The new king Nnabiget was crowned after a careful selection, presentation, and installation by the Uwuile Royal House King makers Assembly made up of the representatives of the 16 war canoe houses of the Uwuile Royal House as enshrined in the Uwuile Royal House Kingship coronation guideline.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory
