Headless Body Of Omoku Youth Federation President Recovered by OSPAC

The lifeless and headless body of the President of  Omoku Youth Federation in Ogba/ Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State,Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu has been discovered in Elieta Forest by OSPAC operatives.

Comrade Azuazu, who was abducted by unknown gunmen in Omoku on Thursday, 5th February 2026, was found dead, sparking shock and outrage across the community.

The remains of the Youth President was recovered in a forest,by the ONELGA Security and Planning Advisory Committee (OSPAC).

Spokesperson for OSPAC in ONELGA, Goodnews Nkem confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with our correspondent.

Yesterday, Gunmen suspected to be cultists at about 6pm killed one Chigozie Oluwu and abducted the President of Omoku Youth Federation,Comrade Ifeanyi Azuazu at a popular drinking joint along Ogolo street,off Palace road in Omoku.

We gathered that the gunmen numbering about seven came in two vehicles and upon sighting the Youth President, pointed gun at him while ordering him to get inside the car but Mr Oluwu who is said to be Azuazu's personal aide intervened and was shot dead by the gunmen, who succeeded in abducting the Youth President.

Meanwhile , the Spokesperson for OSPAC has advised residents of Omoku to remain calm and allow the Police,DSS and other relevant security agencies carry out their investigation with a view to arresting the culprit.

The incident resulted to pandemonium as passersby and residents  scampered for safety while some business owners hurriedly closed their shops for the day.

The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command,CSP Grace Iringe-Koko has confirmed the killing of Chigozie Oluwu, the abduction,beheading and recovering of the corpse of Omoku youth President, Ifeanyi Azuazu.

CSP Iringe-Koko further asserted that the killing is cult related and the Commissioner of Police,CP Olugbenga Adepoju has ordered a full scale investigation into the incident with a view to apprehending the perpetrators.

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
