Tragedy As Scores Of Worshipers Killed During Church Service In Ondo

Many Worshippers were allegedly Shot Dead as Terrorists attacked St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State capital.

Catholic Church In Ondo state,with a yet-to-be-ascertained number of people killed while scores were injured.

The explosion happened in the church premises while the mass was going on.

Source said the incident caused pandemonium in the area as residents in the neighborhood of the church ran for safety. Another source said it was some herdsmen that allegedly attacked the church and killed worshippers even as many dead bodies were seen at the scene.

An Eyewitness, Kehinde Ogunkorode told newsmen that the incident caused pandemonium in the area as residents, who were taken by surprise, ran for safety.

Meanwhile, efforts to reach the spokesperson for the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, on her mobile line were not successful as she did not pick up to confirm the incident.
