Eleme Inferno: Governor Fubara Orders For Complete Details, Express Sadness Over Incident

The Governor of Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has described as very unfortunate, the fire incident caused by a tanker conveying petrol along the East-West Road which burnt motorists and commuters beyond recognition and destroyed a good number of vehicles. Rivers Tragedy: Police confirms Four Dead In Eleme Inferno

By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  Rivers State Police command has confirmed the death of at least four persons in a fire accident that occurred along the East-West road last night consuming several commercial vehicles.   The accident occurred when a truck driver was trying to navigate one of the many bad spots along the Eleme axis of the East-West road, ran into a petrol tanker, spilling its contents on the sloppy road and causing a huge explosion which consumed several vehicles and destroyed millions worth of goods. Zero Tolerance For Insecurity As Rivers Police Arrest Vigilante Leaders Turned Criminals

By Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has arrested four suspects involved in vandalism and armed robbery .  Police Public Relations Officer SP Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement stated that among those apprehended is the local vigilante commander in Isiokpo, Ododo Obubochi, with three other executive members of the local vigilante group on 26th March 2024 . Federal Witch In Police Net Over Armed Robbery

By  Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command attached to  Kpor division in Gokana Local Government Area of the State in collaboration with a local vigilante group, have arrested a notorious cultist and armed robbery  kingpin, one  Mene Lucky Baboona, popularly known as "federal witch" aged 26 and a native of  Bodo community in the  same Local Government Area. Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission Increases Tariff

  By Awajis Josiah-Chijindu The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC; has approved an increase in electricity tariff for customers under the Band A classification. Vice Chairman, NERC, Mr. Musliu Oseni, said the increase will see the customers paying two hundred and twenty five naira kilowatt per hour from the current sixty six naira. Speaking to Newsmen in Abuja, Mr. Oseni said customers in Band A represent fifteen per cent of the twelve million electricity customers in the country. The  Vice Chairman  added that the commission had also downgraded some customers on the Band A to Band B due to the non-fulfillment of the required hours of electricity provided by the electricity distribution company.        

Rivers State Governor Cautious Saboteurs To Stay Off His Government
