Rivers:School Principal Burns 14 Year Old Female Student With Hot Pressing Iron

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  Rivers State Police command is in search of the Principal of Christ Ambassadors Mission International School located at Eagle Island in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State who is at large for burning a fourteen year old girl with hot iron. The story went that residents of Amazing grace junction at Eagle Island, who saw the body of the teenager interrogated how she sustained the burns on her body, to which the teenage girl revealed that her Aunty reported her to the school alleging that she stole 30,000 naira, an allegation the teenage girl denied. The residents sitting  the girl's aunty walking out intercepted and held her to ascertain the truth of the revelation. Rivers Police Promises To Apprehend Killers of Officer, OSPAC Member In Ahoada

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has condemned the brutal attack by suspected cultists last night, June 23, 2025, at about 8:00 PM by Armed assailants, led by two men, Umegbewe Kingsley popularly known as Gutam and one Opaka, believed to be leaders of the Iceland cult group,who stormed the OSPAC office beside the Ahoada East Council Secretariat and opened fire on its operatives. During the attack, OSPAC operative Ngozi Ipah was shot, while escaping, the assailants also gunned down a police officer, Corporal Francis Friday, who was on special duty at the Secretariat with the Special Intervention Squad (SIS). CSO To Ahoada-East Sole Administrator Denies Alleged Involvement of Assault

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Chief Security Officer,CSO of Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State,Mr Hector Ekeakita accused by the Police of been mastermind of violent attack on the Sole Administrator of the Council, Mr. Goodluck Iheanacho has denied any involvement. Mr Ekeakita in an audio message containing his response, sent to our correspondent  cleared himself of any culpability in the incident that took place last week Friday, June 20, 2025. Rivers State Police Condemns Assault on Ahoada- East LGA SOLAD

 By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has condemned the  heinous attack on the Sole Administrator of Ahoada-East Local Government Area, Mr. Goodluck Iheanachor in his office, at the council Secretariat on Friday June, 2025. A statement by the Command's spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said a group of hoodlums numbering about thirty, led by the Chief Security Officer CSO and the Chief of Staff (COS) to the Sole administrator Mr. Hector Ekakita, stormed the Council Secretariat and attacked him. SP Bako Killing: Police In Rivers Arrest 2Baba Gang Man, Recover Arms

 By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  Police have arrested a notorious cultist, Lovegod Goodluck popularly known as  K1, a member of the late 2Baba Iceland cult group linked to the murder of late DPO of Ahoada Division,SP Bako Angbashim. According to a statement by the Spokesperson, Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said  operatives of the command, on May 3, 2025,  stormed the suspect's camp in Ikata Community, Ahoada East Local Government Area and arrested him.  In another operation,on the 13th of  June, a suspect Precious Olumini who had earlier escaped was also arrested. Court Rejects Federal Government Request To Arrest Senator Natasha

By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected the Federal Government’s request to issue an arrest warrant against the suspended senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, following her failure to appear in court for arraignment in an alleged defamation suit. The presiding judge, Justice Muhammed Umar, delivered the ruling after the federal government’s counsel, Mr. David Kaswe, informed the court that the charge had been served to her lawyer. Justice Umar stated that, as the senator had not previously been served with the charge or a hearing notice, it was inconceivable for her to have appeared in court. The Federal Government’s counsel, however, argued that Akpoti-Uduaghan should have been aware of her arraignment since her legal counsel had been served. Rivers CP Calls On Muslims To Pray For Peace In The State

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju has enjoined all Muslims in the State to use this year’s celebration to pray for the peace and progress of the State.   The CP reassured Rivers’ residents of the provision of adequate security and their safety during and beyond the period of the celebration.   He also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Units of the Command to deploy all operational and intelligence assets at their disposal to all 23 Local Government Areas of the state.   Meanwhile, residents of the State were advised to remain supportive, law-abiding, vigilant and report acts of crime and criminality to the nearest Police Station or call the Command's emergency hotlines 08032003514, 07057605209, 07072323049 and 08098880134 for prompt response.  

Tanker Crush man To Death In Port Harcourt

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night, June 3, 2025 An eyewitness who simply gave his name as Baridam told our correspondent that,the driver of the vehicle whose identity is yet to be ascertained ran away the moment he observed the victim who was crossing the road was knocked down. He also disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer,DPO of Nkpolu Police Division immediately mobilized his men to the scene to retrieve the tanker to the station as the mob were about to set the vehicle ablaze. #awajisgeorgenews gathered that the corpse of the victim has been deposited in a mortuary by the Police and the tanker seen in front of the Nkpolu Police Division as of Wednesday morning.
