Tanker Crush man To Death In Port Harcourt

A tanker conveying petroleum product has crushed a young man, nicknamed Egwu, a native of Ogoni to death at the mile three axis of Port Harcourt in Rivers State.

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night, June 3, 2025

An eyewitness who simply gave his name as Baridam told our correspondent that,the driver of the vehicle whose identity is yet to be ascertained ran away the moment he observed the victim who was crossing the road was knocked down.

He also disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer,DPO of Nkpolu Police Division immediately mobilized his men to the scene to retrieve the tanker to the station as the mob were about to set the vehicle ablaze.

#awajisgeorgenews gathered that the corpse of the victim has been deposited in a mortuary by the Police and the tanker seen in front of the Nkpolu Police Division as of Wednesday morning.


When contacted, the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko Koko said she will get back to us but she was yet revert as at press time.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
