Man In Police Net For Slicing Wife's Throat In Rivers State

By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  A man simply identified as Mr.Alachi from Amaji village,Umuoyoro community, in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State has been arrested by the police for killing and cutting off his wife throat,a mother of two children . Community sources revealed that the sad incident occurred on Thursday 19th, February,2026 when the suspect and his wife  went to farm in their village,Amaji. Our source disclosed that a little argument ensued between the suspect and his wife on that fateful day and the suspect in the process used a kitchen knife allegedly to slit the throat of his wife. We gathered that the scream by his wife before she died attracted other natives  around the farm,who  overpowered and apprehended the suspect. Police Arrest Wheelbarrow Pusher For Murder Of A Trader At Oil Mill Market, Port Harcourt

 By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed a murder incident that occurred today, Saturday, 14th February, 2026, at about 7:00 a.m. at the Fruit Market, Oil Mill, Rumuokwurusi, Port Harcourt. Preliminary investigation revealed that a trader at the market, while attempting to create more space for his goods, requested a wheelbarrow pusher identified as Zakara Afaaruwu ‘m’ to remove his wheelbarrow which was obstructing the area. The request was refused, and an argument ensued. In the course of the disagreement, the wheelbarrow pusher allegedly stabbed the trader, identified as Higightor Wenem ‘m’ aged 30 years, from Mbagel Village, Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State, with a dagger.
