Rivers State Governor Describes Court Ruling As Victory For Party

Rivers State Governor Barrister Nyesom Wike has stated that the plan of the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Prince Uche Secondus was aimed at sabotaging the efforts of Nigerians and PDP from rescuing Nigerians from the APC led federal government that has woefully failed the country.

Governor Wike stated this while reacting to the Court of Appeal judgement on the application by Prince Secondus to stop the party’s convention slated for 30th and 31st of this month in Abuja.

The Governor who described the judgement as a victory to every member of the PDP, said the court judgement is also a sign that the party is prepared to take over the governance of the country from the APC in 2023.

He also expressed happiness over the judgement that PDP should be unrestrained from conducting the convention, assuring that the convention will be one of the best ever conducted in the country.

Governor Wike stated categorically the party’s position to rescue Nigerians from APC, saying anyone that impede, is an enemy of the country and the party will not allow individual or group of individuals to derail the rescue mission of the PDP.

He also noted the unity amongst the party, saying 95 percent of consensus has already been achieved ahead of the convention as part of efforts to achieve its plan to rescue the country.

The Governor called on Nigerians to join hands with the party to rescue the country which he noted is in a state of mess.
