End Illegal Bunkering RSG Charge Police, Gift One Million Naira Each To Outstanding Officers

 Rivers State Government has charged the Nigerian Police to end illegal bunkering and artisanal refining in the State .


Governor Nyesom Wike gave this charge at a dinner organized by the Rivers State Police Command to mark the end of 2021 .

The Governor, who was represented by the Chief of staff Government House Mr.Emeka Woke said there is need for the police to look into the new dynamics of challenges in the areas of environmental degradation in the State and work to promote government policies to end the challenges of soot.


He also reiterated government's commitment to continue with the support of security agencies in the state for effective policing of the environment.

Earlier,  Commissioner of Police in Rivers State Mr. Eboka Friday who appreciated the governor for always supporting the police with logistics to carry out their function, explained that they will continue to put in their best to protect lives and property of all residents.

Mr. Friday also appreciate the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Baba for always supporting the state command .

He  lauded efforts of residents of the state for always providing useful information that makes the police job easier.

Our Correspondent reports that some police officers were awarded for distinguishing themselves in the cause of their duties while the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries,OPM; Apostle  Chibuzor Chinyere was also recognized for his selfless service to humanity.
 
The awardees were also promised the sum of one million naira each by the Governor while the command is to receive ten million naira from the government.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
