Celebrating Faith, Leadership, Progress In Udi, Akwa As APGA Chairman Visits

Written by Nduka Anyanwu

The 26th of July, 2025, will be remembered as a day marked by two momentous events—each reflecting the enduring values of faith, dedication, and visionary leadership that continue to shape the future of our community and state.

A Milestone in Faith: Bishop Ernest Obodo’s Silver Jubilee at St. Mary’s Catholic Pro-Cathedral, Udi.

In the quiet and reverent ambiance of the early morning hours, St. Mary’s Catholic Pro-Cathedral in Udi became a sanctuary of gratitude and celebration as the Catholic community gathered to honor a distinguished spiritual leader—Most Rev. Ernest Obodo, Auxiliary Bishop of Enugu Diocese—on the occasion of his 25th priestly silver jubilee.

The event drew a distinguished congregation, including Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), alongside bishops, clergy, faithful members of the church, and well-wishers from across the region.

Bishop Obodo’s remarkable journey of faith, unwavering commitment to spiritual guidance, and compassionate service over the past quarter-century have left an indelible mark on the lives of many.

His leadership exemplifies humility, resilience, and a steadfast dedication to fostering harmony and unity within diverse communities.

The celebration was not merely a reflection on his personal achievements but a testament to the enduring power of faith as a pillar of societal progress.

A Demonstration of Democratic Unity: Anambra Central Endorsement Rally for Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo at Ekwueme Square, Awka

As the day unfolded, the vibrant spirit of community and hope was further exemplified at Ekwueme Square in Awka, where thousands gathered in support of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, during the Anambra Central Endorsement Rally.

The event was a clear demonstration of the people's confidence in Governor Soludo’s leadership and forward-looking vision for Anambra State.

The rally underscored the collective aspiration for sustainable development, economic prosperity, and good governance—hallmarks of Governor Soludo’s progressive agenda.

His administration’s focus on infrastructural development, education, healthcare, and economic diversification continues to resonate with the people, fostering an environment of renewed hope and shared prosperity.

The enthusiastic turnout and spirited support underscore the unity and determination of Anambra’s people to sustain the trajectory of growth and transformation.

Reflecting on a Day of Unity, Faith, and Progress

This dual celebration encapsulates the essence of communal strength—where faith and leadership intersect to inspire societal advancement.

It is a testament to the resilience, hope, and unwavering commitment of the people of Anambra and Nigeria at large. As we approach the crucial date of November 8, the message is clear: Anambra is APGA! Anambra has one voice!

The upcoming elections represent not just a political choice but a reaffirmation of our collective vision for progress, stability, and sustainable development.

The unity displayed today affirms our shared resolve to build a future rooted in integrity, service, and visionary leadership.

In Conclusion

The events serve as a powerful reminder that faith and leadership are the twin pillars upon which our society can thrive.

As Bishop Obodo continues to inspire spiritual growth and Governor Soludo spearheads developmental initiatives, the people of Anambra are poised to march forward with renewed hope and unwavering determination.

Together, we are charting a course toward a brighter, more prosperous future for all.
