APGA Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful, Issue-Based Campaigns Ahead of 2027 Elections

 By: Nduka Anyanwu

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to peaceful, issue-based and credible political campaigns ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa made the commitment following the *signing of the First National Peace Accord, which commits political parties and candidates* to conducting their campaigns in a peaceful, responsible and issue-driven manner.

According to the APGA National Chairman, the signing of the Accord goes beyond a formal ceremony or the endorsement of a document. It represents a solemn reminder of the kind of politics Nigeria deserves—politics anchored on ideas, mutual respect, peaceful competition and the collective interest of the Nigerian people.

He stressed that the Mission Statement of the National Peace Committee reinforces the principle that free, fair and credible elections remain the bedrock of peace, stability and national development.

Barrister Ezeokenwa noted that elections will naturally produce differences, divergent opinions and healthy competition, but such differences must never turn political opponents into enemies.

He emphasised that Nigerians can disagree on policies and political choices without resorting to violence, hatred, personal attacks, intimidation or misinformation.

The APGA National Chairman further stated that the real value of the Peace Accord would not be measured by the ceremony of signing it, but by the conduct of political actors before, during and after the elections.

He therefore reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to campaigns focused on issues that matter to Nigerians, challenging political opponents with ideas rather than insults, and pursuing electoral victory through peaceful and democratic means.

A Call for Vigorous APGA Grassroots Mobilisation

Building on the message of the APGA National Chairman, NDUKA ANYANWU, the SA on Media to the National Chairman of APGA and 2027 APGA Candidate for *Ahaizu and Ezinihite Mbaise Federal Constituency* , calls on all APGA faithfuls, members, supporters and stakeholders to immediately intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Our commitment to peace must never be mistaken for weakness.

We must campaign vigorously, mobilise strategically and take the APGA message to every ward, community, village, household and polling unit.

Let us take our campaign to the grassroots.

Let us engage the people with facts and positive messages.

Let us present our candidates with confidence.

Let us promote APGA’s vision without hatred or bitterness.

Let us defend our party with maturity and discipline.

And above all, let us work tirelessly for the success of every APGA candidate in the 2027 elections.

The Peace Accord provides an important framework for responsible political engagement, but its success depends on what political parties and their supporters do after signing it.

For APGA, the task is clear: peaceful campaigning, massive mobilisation and victory through the strength of our ideas and the confidence of the people.

Every APGA faithful has a role to play. From the ward executive to the polling unit, from community leaders to youth and women groups, and from our traditional grassroots structures to our digital platforms, the time to get involved is now.

Let us take the APGA message of good governance, credible representation, human capital development and people-centred leadership to every corner of Nigeria.

Let us campaign with courage.

Let us mobilise with purpose.

Let us compete with dignity.

Let us win with the mandate of the people.

Peaceful Campaign. Vigorous Mobilisation. APGA Victory.

The Redemption Era Begins.
