IGP Disu Seeks Partnership With DG NOA, On National Values, Crisis Prevention

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today received the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, during a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.



During the visit, the Director-General reaffirmed the Agency's commitment to promoting national values, civic responsibility, and public enlightenment. 


He highlighted the Nigeria Identity Project and the National Values Charter as key initiatives for strengthening national cohesion, while proposing closer collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in the areas of public sensitisation, intelligence sharing, and early conflict prevention.



In his remarks, the IGP underscored the importance of professionalism, respect for human dignity, and ethical policing in strengthening public confidence in the Force. 

He also emphasized the need for responsible use of social media by verifying information before dissemination and encouraging positive values among young people.


 The IGP reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to sustained collaboration with the National Orientation Agency in advancing national security, responsible citizenship, and national development.

Minaibim Harry Emerges As National Rescue Movement Governorship Candidate

Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026. The Senior Magistrate informed the litigant on how the court had wanted to issue a bench warrant against him if not for the intervention of his lawyer who pleaded that he the litigant was sick and needed medical attention.
