The election tribunal sitting in PortHarcourt has adjourned ruling to the 20th of June on legal representation of African Action Congress , AAC; at the National level, on the case filed by the party against the Independent National Electoral Commission, Governor NYESOM WIKE and the Peoples Democratic Party.
Also the tribunal granted application of extension of time filed by the Candidate of the Peoples Progressive Party in a suit against the Independent National Electoral Commission, Governor Nyesom Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Candidate of the PPP, Clifford Udunakor want court to nullified the March 9th Governorship election for alleged illegal removing of his name from the ballot despite a court order.
This is happening after the party through their counsel had withdrawn their interest from challenging the outcome of the 2019 general elections.
The Tribunal granted the extension of time based on applications filed by counsel to the PPP to reply motions by counsel to Governor Nyesom Wike before adjourning till the 20th of June for continuation.
Speaking to Newsmen , counsel to the PPP, Kpomasiruchi Oteyi explained why his application was granted.
The tribunal also adjourned till 1st of July for continuation of hearing on the case filed by Action Democratic Party and its candidate, Victor Fingesi against the Independent National Electoral Commission, Governor NYESOM WIKE and the Peoples Democratic Party.
The three man panel led by Justice G..K Kaigama gave the next adjourned date after it struck out one of applications by counsel to ADP, Lolapo Tella-Attoni and asked him to officially apply for placement of the Nigeria Bar Association new seal.
Counsel to ADP, TellaAttoni told newsmen outside the court that the absence of the new seal have no negative effect in the case since there is a prove of seal and payment of the seal.
