New Rivers CP declears war on criminals in the state

The new Rivers State Commissioner of Police Mustapha Dandaura said Rivers State will no longer be conducive for criminals as crime and criminality will be brought to the barest minimum. CP Dandaura who made this known during his maiden briefing with Newsmen in PortHarcourt said criminals in the state have no option than to relocate,repent or face the wrath of the law. According to him, his mandate in the state is to fight crime to a stand still, and end kidnapping, cultism ,pipeline vandalism bedeviling the state. "I shall engage all communities in my policy strategies and bring policing to the people, I will put in place some proactive measure hence at preventing crimes, this include feasibility policing with my men,dominating the security threat and station at strategy location to embarked on regular race of identifying criminal hideouts with the view to derailing them" . He further added that his arrival will see the decimation of the criminals on the East/West road and Elele Owerri Road. "As you all known Rivers state is strategy to the economy wellbeing of the country ,it is therefore boarders that so much need to be put in to curtailed and minimize the security challenges that will naturally pop up given the socio economy environment of the state, my mandate I also sound it clear that I shall remained focus ,non partisan and professional in the discharge of my cord responsibilities , this is the time to face reality and not to be distracted by political considerations". CP Dandaura however appealed to political gladiators in the state to come together and move the state forward.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
