The Rivers State Police command says about two thousand seven hundred and ninety three persons applied for
recruitment into the force in Rivers state.
The application is for the two hundred and twenty slots allocated to Rivers state for recruitment.
Police public Relations Officer, Rivers State command, Mr.Nnamdi Omoni in an interview with our correspondent in Port Harcourt assured applicants that the slots allocated to the State would be filled mainly by Rivers people.
Mr. Omoni also said that another recruitment exercise would soon be launched hence those that apply and were not shortlisted to participate in the forthcoming examination could take advantage of the next batch.
On the recent kidnapped along Elele- Owerri Road, the image maker of the command said efforts were been intensified to ensure the rescue of the victims unhurt.
Mr. Omoni however appealed to members of the public to avail the command with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the hoodlums.
