Rivers community sacks Shell

The people of Kula kingdom in Akuku Toru Local Government Area are demanding that SPDC operating the Belema Flow station and the gas injection/booster plant in the OML 25 leave their area. The people decried negligence of the host communities by Shell Petroleum Development Company. Paramount Ruler Kula community King Kroma Eleki who spoke with Newsmen at a world Press conference in Kula said that the company has not done anything tangible for the host communities. Also speaking, spokesman Offoinama a co- host community to the Belema Flow Station chief Ibiosiya Nath-Sukubo said the ecological and aquatic devastation caused by oil and gas exploration has left the community with no source of income. On his part,representative Belema community, Alabo Filla Okoye- Davies explained that for almost forty years of Shell operation in the area the company has not only failed in discharging its cooperate social responsibilities ,but has also destroyed the aquatic lives by their continuous oil exploration and gas flaring. " Alabo Okoye- Davies appealed to the federal government to set up an investigating panel to visit the area to appreciate the suffering of the people. He also called on the federal government to prevail on the Rivers State government to allow the peaceful dialogue that has been initiated by NAPIMS and the office of the vice president to continue .

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Hoodlums Kidnap Students Of Rivers State University

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko said today 2nd December 2025, a group of suspected cultists, numbering about five, attacked an isolated area in Rumuche/Rumuohia Community. The hoodlums shot and abducted five persons to an unknown destination.
