PortHarcourt serial killer from Kalabari paraded

Rivers State Police Command has paraded the prime suspect involved in the serial killings of women in hotels in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. Briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mustapha Dandaura said the 39-year old suspect, Gracious David West who hails from Buguma Asari Toru Local Government Area has confessed to have killed five girls in different hotels in Port Harcourt. Suspected serial killer of young females, Gracious David West was arrested on Thursday along East West road in a commercial vehicle heading to Uyo Akwa Ibom State. The Commissioner of police Mr. Mustapha Dandaura ,recounted the confessional statement made by the suspect during interrogation. Mr. Dandaura said the suspect also confessed the membership of a cult group, Degbam which he has denounced after deliverance and rehabilitation at a PortHarcourt based Pentecostal church. Admitting to the crime, Gracious David west said he has also killed a lady in Lagos and another in Owerri ,stressing that there is no motive for his killings as he does not understand the spirit behind the act. According to Mr.David West ,he threatens his victims with a knife and also collects their ATM pins and their belongings before strangling them with the hotel pillow case. The police said investigation has opened into the case with the possibility of bringing other perpetrators to book. Three other suspects linked to serial killings of ladies in hotels have also been arrested.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026. The Senior Magistrate informed the litigant on how the court had wanted to issue a bench warrant against him if not for the intervention of his lawyer who pleaded that he the litigant was sick and needed medical attention.
