Some tricycle operators popularly known as Keke riders plying Ada George, Agip and Iwofe roads have called on the Rivers State Government to get rid of illegal tickets in the State.
The keke riders lamented that despite the newly approved ticket by the State Government they are being forced to get daily tickets from different task force in the area.
One of the rider Mr. Edwin Igwe who spoke with our correspondent said recently the union came with security Agencies to arrest some of their members for refusing to buy their own ticket which is different from the state Government approved ticket.
Also speaking, Mr. Chigozie and Mr. Joe Urman appealed to the government to prevail on the security agencies to release their members in Police custody, stressing that they do nothing wrong to warrant arrest.
The keke riders however appealed to the Rivers State government to intervene on the issue to avoid increment on transport fares.
