Police Arrests Diobu OSPAC Members over alleged Rape,Abduction of 21yrs old lady in PortHarcourt

Rivers State Police command has arrested eight members of Diobu OSPAC in PortHarcourt City Local Government Area of the state, for allegedly abducting a 21 years old woman, Miss precious and two of her brothers following a report by their father to the group that the children stole his money. Police Public Relations Officer Mr.Nnamdi Omoni in an interview with our correspondent said it is unlawful for vigilante groups to arrest and detain suspects , but can provide information to the police for effective community policing. Mr. Omoni stressed that the commissioner of police Mr. Joseph Mukan has order for investigation into the matter and the transfer of the case to State CID . Speaking to our Correspondent, the victim Miss Precious alleged that the vigilante members stripped her naked while in their office,and inserted fingers in her private part and also took video of her. Miss Precious who said that the vigilante members detained she and her brothers from 8pm on Saturday,11th April, 2020 to Sunday 12th,April 2020, narrates her ordeal. She also explained that the vigilante members shaved their hair and eyelids before releasing them,however called on the Police and other relevant authorities to ensure Justice is done. Meanwhile, Secretary Rivers State Civil Rights Council, Miss. Uzoma Kelechi has appealed to the Nigeria Police to ensure Justice is served to all parties in the matter.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Pastor Dehumanizing Children In Rivers State Cools Off In Police Net

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has arrested pastor Ifediorah Onyeibor Joseph, aged 41,following a video showing the dehumanizing of minors circulating on social media. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Preliminary investigations revealed that Pastor Joseph allegedly organized a 3-day program for children in his Church, purportedly for "spiritual cleaning," claiming to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit. SP Iringe-Koko noted that upon receiving the information, Operatives from the Command through coordinated intelligence, arrested the pastor and several Church members at the scene.
