Ahoada West Chairman Vows to Deal With Criminals Terrorising Owube Community

The People of Owube community in Ahoada West Local Government Area are appealing to Security Agencies to assist them get rid of hoodlums terrorising the community. The people explained that since 2015 there has been unrest in the community as a result of cult related matters. Some Residents Mrs.Vivian Nwokwuka and Mrs.Mercy Peter who spoke with our Correspondent , said they no longer sleep in the community as the suspected Cult members invade the area at night to cause mayhem. The Residents said they do not have access to their farms as hoodlums have taken over the farmlands. One of the community leader who spoke on behalf of the people Mr. Endurance Moses solicited for the help of the Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area Mr. Hope Ikiriko in fighting crime and criminality in the Area. The women in the community earlier protested to Government House in PortHarcourt calling on the Governor of the State to come to their aid and save them from hoodlums ravaging their Area. On his part, Chairman Ahoada West Local Government Chairman Mr. Hope Ikiriko who paid the people a visit promised to synergize with security Agencies to achieve lasting peace in the Area. The chairman stressed that the council is proactive in handling security matters and the issue in the community will be solved. The Council boss noted that his office did not received any letter from the community as alleged by the people. Mr. Ikiriko advised the people to always channel their security issue to appropriate quarters for assistance. He warned that his office will not tolerate criminality in the area as he will take security measures to get rid of hoodlums terrorising the community. Charged the people to report any cultist they site around the Area to Security Agencies

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory
