As the lockdown of Bonny Local Government of Rivers State continues, Residents have lamented the hardship they are going through.
The Residents Mr. Theophilus Egbe and Mr. Jumbo Ashly in a telephone interview with our Correspondent said living has become unbearable as they can not access financial institution for transactions.
Mr. Egbe and Mr. Ashly decried the inability to buy food items as shops and market are shut down in compliance with the State government's directive.
The Residents while appealing to the Government to send palliatives to ameliorate the plight of the people, said the lockdown should be eased to enable them restock their homes.
Another Resident Mrs.Jumbo said her family is surviving by the grace of God.
On the issue of testing for Covid 19, the Residents explained that they were not sure of activities going on at the General Hospital as people cannot access the center due to unreliable information.
They also added that Security Agencies are fully on ground to ensure compliance by the people.
