Reports say Armed Policemen numbering about 15 at the early hours of today stormed the house of Former Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission ,NDDC Ms Joi Nunieh in Port Harcourt
We gathered from sources that the police men banged on the gates of the embattled Former NDDC boss in an attempted to placed her under house arrest in order to prevent her from appearing before the House Committee probing NDDC on misappropriation of funds.
She immediately put a call across to the House Committee chairman probing the NDDC IMC to inform him of the situation as she is billed to testify at the Committee's hearing in Abuja today.
According to her 'This is definitely the handiwork of those who don't want me to tell the truth about what is going on at the NDDC. My Governor, Wike, says they have tried to pressure him to retract the statement from the state government, warning that I should not be harmed but he has refused. The minister Akpabio thinks he can intimidate me with police but I will not be intimidated. He is afraid that I have exposed the fact that there is no forensic audit going on at the NDDC. Yesterday, the BPP appeared before the Committee and said they were deceived into issuing a certificate of'no objection' by Akpabio who told them that the 2020 budget had been passed. No matter how long they take I will give my testimony.'
Meanwhile we gathered that the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike drove to the resident of Ms Nunieh and took her in his car to the government House in PortHarcourt, while the area have been taken over by the security Agencies.
You will recalled that the Rivers State Government had earlier issue a statement warning that nothing should happen to Ms Nunieh who is one of her own while the House Committee continue with the probing of NDDC

In response to the claims made by the Elem-Kalabari community, we provide the following perspectives based on territorial rights, historical ownership, and the law. 1. TERRITORIAL CLAIMS AND ENCROACHMENT We categorically reject the assertion by the Elem-Ama Council that the Bille people’s claims of encroachment are "false alarms." According to established legal principles governing the ownership and use of land, including the Nigerian Land Use Act (1978), the rights of indigenous communities to their ancestral lan...
