' I'm not Against you Protecting Your Citizens, Turn in Nunieh For Investigation' CP Tells Governor Wike

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mukan said the police officers who stormed the Former NDDC boss Dr. Joi Nunieh's residence were on official Assignment. Mr. Mukan who made this known while reacting to the presence of officers at Nunieh's home yesterday, explained that it is not in all situations that a warrant of arrest will be issued. The Commissioner stressed that the officers who came for her arrest were from IGP monitoring team and that he was aware of their presence in the state. He dismissed the report making rounds that efforts to reach him proved abortive, noting that no one tried to reach out to him as regards the matter. Speaking further, the CP said Governor Wike was supposed to hand over Nunieh to him as the chief security officer of the command for protection, saying he was not against the Governor protecting his citizens but that should be done within the ambit of the law. He added that since Governor Nyesom Wike is aware that the officers were not illegal,he expected the Governor to turn Nunieh in for investigation.

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
