Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has described the invasion of the home of the Former Acting Managing Director, Dr Joi Nunieh by Security Operatives as a disgrace and a show of Shame to the Country.
Speaking to Journalists in Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Wike said it was absurd that Dr Nunieh who was scheduled to appear before the House of Representative Committe on the ongoing probe in the NDDC was prevented by the security agencies.
He said that the former Acting Managing Director of the Commission should be properly invited by the Police if she had committed an offence but rather it was an attempt of adduction.
The Governor vowed to protect the lives of all citizens of Rivers State despite party affiliation.
He also warned that those behind the dastardly act should desist or face the consequences from the Rivers State Government.
