Police Parade four Suspects for Allege kidnap of Sokari Braide.

Rivers State Police command has paraded four suspected kidnappers who allegedly kidnapped a sixty -five years old man, Mr. Sokari Braide at Elechi waterfront Mile one Diobu, Port Harcourt local Government Area.

 Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, while addressing Journalists, said following discrete investigation by the Eagle Crack Police unit led to  the  arrest of the Prime suspect Perfect Agbasi from Edo state.

Mr. Omoni noted that the group had collected ransom of one point two million naira at a location in Andoni local Government before their arrest.

Mr. Omoni revealed that the confessional statement by the Prime suspect led to the arrest of other member of the gangs. 

Meanwhile wife of the deceased Mrs. Beauty Sokari told Journalists that despite her plea to the kidnappers who initially demanded twenty million naira ransom to release her husband they refused.


Mrs. Sokari noted her husband gave up the ghost at the hospital two days after he was released from their custody.

The prime suspect Perfect Agbasi told Journalists that the leader of the kidnap gang contacted him after the incident to furnish him with the victim's wife phone number, and was giving twenty thousand naira for getting the phone number.

The third  suspect  revealed  that he is Innocent but however admitted,  that he was into illegal oil bunkering. He further alleged that the deceased victim is also into illegal oil bunkering

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
