Nigeria@60: No Protest Tomorrow ... Rivers CP Warn





As Nigeria marks it 60th Independence Anniversary, the Rivers State Police Command has  assured  the people of the State that there is no cause for alarm as adequate security deployments have been made to ensure that the Diamond Celebrations are carried out in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, while warning trouble makers and all criminal elements to have a rethink or face the full weight of the law.



Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Nnamdi Omoni in a statement  further warn those  planning to stage a protest, or issuing an unlawful order of sit-at- home to immediately shelve the idea, as no effort will be spared in dealing with them.


Mr. Omoni  speaking on behalf of the commissioner of police Mr. Joseph Mukan said  adequate security arrangements have been emplaced which include, the covering of all coastal communities, border communities, city centres, flash points, key and vulnerable points, noting that patrol vans have been deployed to strategic locations within the Metropolis to strengthen visibility policing among other structures put in place.


He enjoined the people of the State to come out enmasse and celebrate Nigeria at 60, without fear of molestation, while observing all COVID-19 Prevention Protocols.


The Commissioner of Police, however felicitate with  President Muhammadu Buhari, the Inspector-General of Police,  Mohammed Adamu, and the Government and people of Rivers State on the 60th Independence Anniversary of the Nation.

We will Not Enslave Anyone - King Nnabiget XV

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
