Police Parade Suspect Who Throw Woman Into Septic Tank at Igwuruta

About twenty three suspects have been paraded by the Rivers State Police Command for various crimes. 
Among the suspects was a twenty three year old man who was arrested with a five month old baby after abducting and killing the baby’s mother.

Briefing Journalists at the Police headquarter in Port Harcourt, Commissioner of Police Mr. Joseph Mukan said the suspects were arrested in different parts of the state for various crimes.

Mr.  Mukan said one of the suspects Chinedu Nwachukwu was arrested by the police on stop and search last month at Omerelu in Rivers State with a five month old baby.

Upon interrogation the suspect confessed to have killed the mother of the child and dumped her inside a septic tank in an uncompleted building at Igwuruta, in Ikwerre local government area of the State.

Mother of the baby, Mrs. Chizoba Eke was rescued from the septic tank after three days and taken to the hospital for treatment.
 
In a related development , the suspect Mr. Nwachukwu also confessed to have stolen a three month old baby and killed her mother  Chinonye Uzoma .

He led the police to a building in Igwuruta where the decomposing body of the woman was found.

The suspect Mr.Nwachukwu sold the baby to one Mary Ishmael for #250,000 who later sold to another woman yet to be arrested for #350,000 


However,there was a mild drama during the briefing as  two Movie Producers who were also paraded protested that they are not kidnappers as alleged by the police. 

The movie producers Samuel Bobmanuel 21 year old  and Justice Nwillgbara 25 year old raised their voices immediately the Commissioner of Police read that two of them were notorious kidnappers who were planning to embark on kidnap mission at Rumuosi Obio Akpor local government Area before they were arrested with carved wooden guns. 
 
Their agitation drew the attention of Journalists who went to interview them after the Commissioner of Police ended his briefing. 


Items recovered from the suspects include fake naira notes, cartridges, locally made pistols, and three vehicles.

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
