Attack on Oyigbo; perpetrators will be brought to book... Commissioner of Police




 The Rivers State Police Command, the  Military, and other security agencies have gone round flash points in the state to ascertained the level of damage caused by suspected IPOB members and hoodlums.


The Commissioner of police Mr. Joseph Mukan while briefing Newsmen at the Oyigbo Area command that was allegedly burnt down by IPOB members assured residents of the area adequate protection of lives and property.

Mr. Mukan said the DCO in charge of the Area command was killed and burnt as a result of cross fire with the IPOB members.

Cp Mukan while charging the investigation team to expedite action noted that perpetrators of the heinous crimes will be brought to book.

The commissioner of police also debunked rumor making  rounds on  social media that the DPO of Area command was killed as he conducted the team round the command.

Over fifty  vehicles , buildings in the barrack were all destroyed including Armoured Police Carrier ,APC;
 in the Area.

Our Correspondent  reports that there was unrest at the sangana area of PortHarcourt where it was alleged that two persons were killed as a result of fracas among hoodlums and goods  worth thousands of Naira were destroyed .

However, the situation was brought under control by police officer deployed to the Area.

Areas visited includes Borokiri,Mile one,Ikokwu, Sangana,Oil mill junction,Onne and Oyigbo local government area.

At Oyigbo , our correspondent sighted goods displayed for sale  while  the traders were peeping from their hideout.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
