Governor Wike Orders Reopening of Nursery and Primary Schools in the State

Public Announcement

This is to inform the general public that His Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa), Governor of Rivers State, has approved the reopening of all Public and Private Nursery and Primary Schools in the State with effect from Monday 23rd November 2020 for First Term 2020/2021 academic session, in line with the School Calendar published by the Ministry of Education in August 2020. 

By this announcement all Head Teachers, Proprietors and other concerned persons should take all necessary steps to ensure safe and hitch-free resumption in line with extant COVID-19 Protocols.

Pupils, Parents and Guardians and the general public should please take note.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

 SPONSORED  The Bille Clan of the Ijaw National Congress, INC in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State has appealed to the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, to call the Amayanabo of Torusarama Piri, Alhaji Majaheed Asari Dokubo to order and stop his unlawful conduct of surveys aimed at establishing his territorial map with deliberate intention to Annex Bille Kingdom. Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence

  By: Martha Igbiks  The Rivers State government has reaffirmed its dedication to tackling gender-based violence (GBV), aimed at reduce its prevalence between 5-10% .
