The Police Committee on ENDSARs Losses Assessment has visited Rivers State Police command to ascertain the level of damaged done on some police stations in the state during the #Endsars protest allegedly hijacked by members of the indigenous people of Biafra,IPOB.
Vice chairman of the committee ,Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Patrick Atayero while speaking with officers of the command said the team will report back it's findings to the Inspector General of police Mr . Mohammed Adamu and urged them to keep hope alive not minding what had happened.
Police Stations visited includes Umuebule police station in Etche Local Government Area ,Afam and Oyigbo Area command.
At Umuebule about eight vehicles was burnt , the station and barrack were completely destroyed while at the Area command over fifty vehicles was burnt including all the buildings.
Speaking to Newsmen earlier at the police Command headquarters in PortHarcourt,Mr. Atayero said the team will also visit families of deceased police officers.
