More Victims of Police Brutality have continued to appear before the state Judicial Commission of Inquiry to reel out their Overwhelming evidences against the disbanded Special Anti-robbery squad , SARs; with a view to seek Justice.
A business man, Mr. Sampson Akpor also testified that his manager Mr. Linus David was shot dead on the 25th of September 2015 by an officers attached to tourist beach PortHarcourt while he was conveying fish feed on a speed boat.
Mr. Akpor noted that the death of late David had affected every members of his family psychologically.
Mr Akpor prayed the commission to prevail on the police authority to pay the sum of three hundred million naira as compensation to the bereaved Family.
Also another petitioner ,chief Bennett Dokubo said officers of Anti cultism unit arrested two Bille youths on January 17th 2020 at the state Secretariat complex PortHarcourt after a meeting with secretary to the state government over a dispute between Bille kingdom and krakrama communities.
Chief Dokubo who regretted that the victims, Mr. Taminotonye Dei and Mr. Endurance Johnbull were not seen again after the matter was transferred to SARs, urged the Nigerian police force to pay the sum of one hundred and ten million naira as compensation to the deceased families and other two youths whose hands were mutilated by the police.
