Police Condoles With Family of Man Shot Dead By An Officer

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Joseph Mukan led Members of his Management Team on a Condolence visit to the family of late Abiodun Jimoh who was killed by a Police Sergeant serving at the Elelenwo Police Station.

Receiving the Delegation at the family House, the Wife of the deceased, Mrs Azeezat Abiodun thanked the CP for the visit but however condemned the sad incident and called on Authorities of the Police to investigate and ensure that her late husband is given justice.

She equally appealed to the Authorities to come to their aid, noting that her late husband who was their breadwinner left so much responsibilities for them.

Earlier in his Condolence message, the CP, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu , commiserated with the family and promised to bring about Justice in the circumstance, while appealing to them to maintain restraint and allow the law to take its course.

Meanwhile, the Police Sergeant,who carried out the evil act has been arrested and transferred to State CID and will be charge to court as soon as investigation are over

A statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
