Emohua OSPAC To Undergo Profiling For Effective Policing Of The Area


 Vigilante groups in Emohua local government area of Rivers State  are to be reposition  for effective service delivery.


To this end,  members of the dissolved vigilante group in the area will undergo fresh profiling and reorientation by government security agencies in the state.


Senior Special Assistant on security  to the chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Mr Emmanuel Okogbule made this known after a meeting with heads of security Agencies and special security units at the council secretariat .

Mr. Okogbule said the profiling of members of the vigilante groups will enable the  security agencies to fish out those hiding under the guise of the groups to perpetrate crime and criminality in the area.

The meeting which was also attended by heads of the suspended  community vigilante groups, was held to review the security situation of the area following the alleged involvement of some members of the vigilante groups in criminal activities in the area.

The leadership of the different vigilante groups also agreed to the setting up of a taskforce made up of the different security agencies to monitor further activities of members of the vigilante groups.

The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Mr Tom Aliezi, who presided over the meeting reassured residents of the area of his administration's commitment to sustain the already existing peace and security in the area.

Mr. Aliezi also said his administration will not relent in providing necessary logistics support to the different security agencies in the area.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
