Police Rescue Abducted King Of Ikuru In Andoni LGA ,One Suspected Arrested

 The Okama of Ikuru in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State , King Aaron Ikuku abducted on the 21st of last month from his home town has been released.



 The Monarch was released last night at a forest in Abissa, Akuku Toru Local Government Area, where he had been held in captivity for a month now.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officers Mr Nnamdi Omoni in a press  statement noted that the king was rescued in synergy with the Navy, while one of the suspected kidnappers was arrested.


Mr Omoni said in the course of Investigation, the suspect gave useful confessions that led the Operatives to a forest in Abissa, where the Monarch was eventually rescued, unhurt. 


 Narrating his ordeal in the hands of his abductors, the Royal father expressed gratitude to God Almighty  and all d security agencies that helped to secure his release.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Eboka Friday who led his Officers to the residence of the Monarch commended the effort of the  police which he assured on assumption of duty to ensure the safe and unconditional release of the King and his kinsman,the Lecturer,kidnapped simultaneously. 

The Commissioner also  reiterated his commitment to ensure that Rivers State is safe and  secured  from all forms of criminality and solicited the cooperation of all and sundry in information sharing, as a panacea for crime Fighting.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
