Rivers State Government has reviewed the time of curfew from 7PM -to- 6AM on the entire twenty-three Local Government Areas of the State with effect from tomorrow.
In a state broadcast, Governor Nyesom Wike said the decision to impose the curfew on the entire State was to further beef up security and to protect lives and property.
Governor Wike also urged security agencies to note the new curfew time to arrest and prosecute defaulters.
The Governor who frowned at the increasing rate of attacks and killings of security personnel in the state said no amount of intimidation will make the state succumb to any secessionist agenda.
He also said the state government will activate youth to defend the State from the terrorists .
Governor Wike expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the Policemen and the Rivers State Police Command while urging residents to be calm.
