Bonny Youths Allegedly Invade Finima Community Protest Against NLNG , Injuries 9 And Destroy Property

Youths allegedly from Bonny Kingdom also staged a counter protest against the protesters from Finima community and disrupted the process.

The counter protesters attacked and unleashed mayhem on the Finima protesters, critically injuring nine persons and destroyed seven vehicles, shops and set ablaze a bus belonging to Finima Youths Congress.

Speaking on the attacks,one of the injured victims, Prince Brown, accused the traditi

onal leaders in Bonny of sponsoring the youths against the peaceful Finima protesters.

Mr Prince Brown noted that hoodlums from Bonny heavily armed with matches, guns and bottles attacked him and others .

Our Correspondent who went round the community reports that business activities in the area were affected as market and shops were shut down with security agents seen policing major junctions in the community.
