Family Accuse Police Of Complicity In The Death Of 60 Year Old Woman In Rivers

 The family of a sixty year old woman,Mrs Dole Enoch has blamed the Octopus Strike Force of Rivers state Police command over the death of their mother.



The Son of the deceased, Kelvin Enoch who was in tears narrated how the Police unit came to Soku,Okwelle;waterfront Mile 2

Diobu in Port Harcourt on Sunday evening and shot sporadically without provocation and his mother who is hypertensive  on hearing the gunshots that lasted for over thirty minutes collapsed and died.

Mr Kelvin Enoch revealed that the incident has been reported at Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters in Mile 11 Diobu while calling on the Police Authority to investigate the activities of Octopus strike force and ensure justice on the matter.   


 Meanwhile a member of local vigilante  in the area  Promise Brown in an interview with our reporter said  he was preparing for survival party of his friend when the Octopus Strike Force  arrived  and shot sporadically as residents scampered for safety.

Mr Brown stated that the Police unit packed all the musical instrument in the party arena to their station.

An aged woman who did not want her name mentioned says she is the owner of the plantains that were cut down allegedly by the Octopus Strike Force and also called for justice.

The woman  expressed worry that her source of livelihood has been destroyed by the Police for no just cause.

Our correspondent who visited the area saw many  plantain trees that were cut down and residents are still in fear.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
