Wife Of IGP Charge Police Officers Not To Be Deterred By Recent Attacks On Personnel

 Officers of the Nigerian Police Force have been urged to continue to discharge their duties diligently and not be deterred  by the recent attacks on police personnel.


The Wife of the Inspector General of Police,
Hajiya Hajara Baba who made this known while addressing the wives of police officers on her five day visit to Rivers State decried that the attacks and killings have subjected many families into untold hardship.

The wife of the IGP who is also the National President of Police Officers Wife Association ,POWA; warned against playing politics with insecurity which she said could affect National development. 


Mrs Baba assured the police officers wives of support of the Force and her three point agenda.


In an address,Wife of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Chimelum Eboka commended the wife of the IGP for her visit and requested that she use her office to ensure more Baracks to accommodate  police officers wives especially those whose husbands were killed during the attacks.


Mrs Eboka pledge the state POWA unflinching support to the national office.

Our Correspondent reports that wives of the police officers who died during the ENDSARS protest attacks and nine personnel who were recently killed by unknown gunmen in the state were empowered by the wife of the IGP.

Awards was also presented to four female Divisional police officers, DPOs ; for  excellence  performance in their various divisions.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
