Ikwerre Council Boss Issues 24hrs Ultimatum To Trucks Parked Along Road

The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State,  Engr Samuel Nwanosike  has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to all trucks and vehicles parked along the Igwuruta-Airport-Omagwa Road to vacate the road.

In a letter signed on behalf of the Chairman by the Council's Secretary,  Prince Lemchi Nyeche, and directed at BUA Cement Company Limited, he noted that failure to do so will warrant the Ikwerre Council authority to confiscate such trucks and charge the drivers and owners to court.

Engineer Nwanosike stated that the trucks and vehicles parked along the road are posing danger to human lives and in total violation to the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, Cap 548, LFN, 2004.

He advised owners and drivers of the trucks and vehicles to heed the directive and park appropriately or face the law.
