Group Petitions Rivers CP Over Invasion Of Woman Privacy


 A Human Rights Advocacy Group, Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has petitioned the Rivers State Commissioner of Police Mr Eboka Friday on alleged invasion of a Woman's privacy and watching  her nakedness by a Policeman identified as Benjamin attached to Mile 1 Diobu Divisional Police headquarters.



In a petition dated September 6,2021 and signed by its National Coordinator, Prince Wiro,  the group urged Mr Eboka Friday to order an investigation into the alleged  invasion of the room of Miss Ebube at Ogwa street,Mile 1 Diobu Port Harcourt by Officer Benjamin and the  threat to shoot her when the lady who was stake naked as at the time the officer invaded her privacy asked the Policeman to leave her room to enable her dress up.


Mr Wiro noted that thorough investigation is required to ensure justice to all the parties involved.


Narrating her ordeal, twenty year old Miss Ebube told newsmen that about 2pm on Sunday 5th,September, 2021 a man on mufti who later turned out to be officer Benjamin invaded her room while she was naked.

Meanwhile, Miss  Blessing Chukwu who witnessed the incident explained that the Policeman who invaded the room in the guise of searching for Ebube's brother, saw Miss Ebube naked and threatened  to shoot  her when she asked the officer to leave the room  to allow her sister to dress up.

As at press time,We gathered that the Commissioner of Police, has minuted the case to human rights desk at the Police headquarters for thorough investigation.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
