We Need Policies That Will Make Our Youths Gainfully Employed....SCM Tells Federal Government




A Non-Governmental Organization  Student Christian Movement,SCM; has appealed to governments at all level to initiate program that will aid in Youth employment.

National President of the Association, Mrs Ebere Ubesie who made the appeal at a Conference in Port Harcourt stressed the need to prepare Nigerian  youths for societal transformation.


Mrs Ubesie explained that the NGO will collaborate with other organizations to enlighten Nigerians to eschew violence during elections ,as well as vote in credible leaders in future election.

"We are using this medium to raise our voices and condemn what  has been happening to our constituency which are our youths, the fact is that a nation cannot grow without responsible youths.

"This is why we are crying out to government at all levels to prepare for our youths good policies,and legacy to inherit, than witnessing violence, killing, abduction of students in their schools, unemployment among others.

"We are calling on government to build industries and also create enabling environment for foreign investors to invest in our country so that our youths will be employed.

She urged youths to register and collect their permanent voter cards to empower them for participation in election.

On his part, Former Rivers State sector President of the group , Evangelist Samuel Ogan,  said  the body had been campaigning on campuses  against insecurity, cultism and other social vices.
  

Ogan called on government and other relevant agencies to support the campaign against insecurity, terrorism against humanity in the country.

He urged the youths to desist from criminal activities and hopeless adventures that could destabilize the country.

Evangelist Ogan advised youths to avoid being used to foment trouble in their communities.

Similarly, Mr Wisdom Owen, the Newly Elected President of the Group in Rivers Sector assured that the body in the state will continue to produce responsible youths that will contribute to the development of the country.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
