FRSC Caution Drivers On Alcohol Intake

 As the yuletide season approaches, motorists have been advised to drive safely to avoid road crashes .


South South Zonal Commanding officer  of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Assistant Corps Marshal Chidiebere Nkwonta  gave the advice during a one day sensitization program for  drivers in Port Harcourt .

Mr. Nkwonta explained that lots of road accidents are caused by reckless driving on the part of some drivers who are always in a hurry to get to their destinations without minding other road users .

He stressed the need to educate  drivers  on traffic rules regularly for them to  make right choices while using the roads.

On his part,Rivers State Sector Commander FRSC,  Mr. Salisu Galadunci who discouraged night traveling, buttress on the challenges associated with it.

Mr Galadunci who urged drivers to be conscious while driving and to obey all road signs cautioned the drivers to desist from the habit of driving while drunk.

In their separate goodwill messages Rivers state Commissioner for Transport Mr Osima Ginah represented by a Director in the Ministry Engineer George Owiriwa and the South South, South East chairman Institute of Directors Mr  Adoge  Norteh  appreciated the Corps for its efforts to maintain sanity on the road.

They however appealed to drivers to adhere strictly to all the laws governing Nigeria roads .

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
