Police Arrest Woman Who Poured Hot Water On 9 Year Old Maid

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested one Mrs Nkemjika Chinedu who allegedly poured hot water on her nine years old maid at Egbelu in Obio Akpor Local Government Area.

Police Public Relations Officer Mr Nnamdi Omoni told our correspondent that the matter was reported to the police by a neighbour to the suspect Mr. Chukwuejina.

Mr Omoni said upon the complaint, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody at Egbelu police station .

He explained that the matter has been transferred to the state Criminal investigation Department for further Investigation.

The Police Spokesman added that the suspect also confessed to have committed the crime, while the girl is receiving medical attention .
