Police Says Four Corpse Were Recovered From Fire Outbreak In Nembe Jetty

Rivers State Police Command has recovered Four corpses from yesterday's Bonny Bille Nembe Jetty Fire outbreak.

The incident came barely 24 hours after property worth millions of naira were destroyed in separate fire outbreaks in D-Line and Rumuokoro

Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Nnamdi Omoni who stated this in a chat with our correspondent

said seven boats were also razed by the fire that lasted several hours.

He said the commissioner of police, Mr. Eboka Friday has launched an investigation into the incessant fire outbreaks in the state.

Mr Omoni also said a door to door taskforce has been set up to fish out those engaged in illegal oil refining.

Also speaking, leader Crayfish and fish sellers at the Nembe Bille water front Henrietta Simeon lamented that their goods worth millions of naira was destroyed by the fire .

She called on the government to come to their aid.
