Rivers Police Parade 9 Suspects For Various Offences


 The Rivers State Police Command in recent time has been turning out achievements after another ,due to the proactive approach adopted by the Commissioner of Police Mr Eboka Friday to tackle all criminal elements in the state.


It is on that note the police paraded nine suspects for various offenses  across the State

Parading the suspects Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer ,PPRO;Mr Nnamdi Omoni told Newsmen that Officers and Men of the Anti-Kidnaping Unit  on the 21st of this month, arrested one  Precious Amadi 27year old and Williams Okon 20 year old for kidnapping  one Olaide Oluwaseunn  along the Abacha Road. 

The PPRO said in the course of investigation, the suspects led the police to  their camp at Obeama in Oyigbo Local Government Area where the victim was rescued unhurt .

similarly, the trio of Bright Williams  22years , Queen  Edem 20 years old and Ndidi Apaka  were arrested in connection with the case of kidnapping of Adede Emmanuel who was lured from Delta State to Port Harcourt for a non-existent employment. 


The victim while in Port Harcourt, was held hostage and kept in a Hotel at Obeama, Oyigbo Local Government Area where the Police Operatives through intelligence led Policing, stormed and rescued him.


Three suspects including the Director of the Hotel, a lady and one of the gang members were arrested and are helping the police in  investigation.


Also in a related development, men of the Anti-Kidnaping Unit, working on credible information, arrested one Gift Frank , Julius Amadi popularly known as JUJU and  Udo  Philips   in connection with the kidnapped of one Williams Etuk who was kidnapped on the 11th of September along Igbo-Etche road by four armed men. 

The kidnappers took the victim’s Toyota Highlander Jeep after his abduction but the said Jeep was recovered by the Police at Ukwa in Akwa Ibom State, including one locally made shot gun.

Speaking to Newsmen one of the suspects Julius Amadi , denied involvement in the kidnapped of  Late Army Captain whose decomposing body was recovered at Igbo-Etche Road,  last month.

In the meantime, Operatives of the Anti-Kidnaping Unit in an operation on the 8th of October arrested John Obinna  and Orji Ndukwu who confessed to have carried out the kidnapped of Mr. Michael Oladipo  who was kidnapped on the 3rd of October  at Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. 

The suspects were arrested at Boki in Cross River State and the Lexus Jeep belonging to the victim recovered from them.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
