Andoni Council Chairman Empower Youths,Urge Them To Be Diligent

 As a way of keeping the youths of Andoni Local Government Area away from crime and criminalities,six youths from the area  have been empowered with complete set for viewing centers businesses by the chairman of the Area Mr Erastus Awortu.


The Council chairman during the presentation of the items at Ngo headquarters of the Area said the beneficiaries were carefully selected across the area through balloting system to reduced poverty .

Mr Awortu explained that having succeeded in returning peace to the area , youths needs to be engaged in meaningful activities hence the desire to assist them.

''Apart from making money it will also served as recreation centers for youths thereby distracting them from social vices. "

He urged the beneficiaries to be diligent and make good use of the items provided to enable them self reliance.

The council Boss enjoined  youths of the area to completely turn away from social vices and embrace peace as no society thrive in rancor and acrimony .

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries,Vice Chairman Andoni Area Traditional Rulers Council and okama Ikuru town ,King Aaron Ikuru describe the empowerment as a welcome development.

"This is the first of it's kind and we are grateful unto God for giving us such a man like Erastus I'm surprised that such empowerment that runs into millions can be provided for youths of the area."

King Ikuru said he is optimistic that the Awortu led administration will bring Andoni to limelight.

Items presented includes a Generating Sets, Televisions, DStv Decoders subscribed and Satellite Dishes .

In the meantime, some of the beneficiaries Mr Isaiah and Mr Joab Gideon who spoke with our Correspondent while lauding the efforts of the chairman said the empowerment will serve as source of livelihood and also create employments for teeming youths.

Mr Lawrence and Mr Gideon advised the youths to eschew violence as the chairman is working tirelessly to ensure the people of the area enjoyed dividends of Democracy.

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
